Rescatux 0.40 Beta Build 6 is Official, Brings Support For a Number of Intel-based MacBooks

It is never an easy task to go around a broken or locked bootloader and there are a few Softwares that can help users stuck in a position where for some reason, they can’t log into their PC because of the faulty bootloader.

The well-known Super GRUB2 which was designed and developed by Andrian Raulete is a Live Disk that has helped users fix problems with their GRUB and GRUB 2 bootloaders and is based on Debian technologies.

Andrian has said that he is working on an improved version of his software and the sixth beta build of Rescatux 0.40 system rescue Live CD is now available for download.

The software engineer said he is hoping the new Rescatuax 0.40 will be a worthy successor to the well-known and widely used Super Grub 2 as the new software brings improvements to the 64-bit and 32-bit UEFI boot support with an added support for select Intel-based MacBook Pro computers and the introduction of AFD scanning technology.
The release statement reads:

“This release improves support for both 64-bit amd64 UEFI boot (avoids booting in blind mode problems) and 32-bit UEFI boot (not tested that one myself). It should be bootable from some Intel-based Mac Book (Pro) systems too, We also add AFD scanning technology to reduce user interface time-based interactions while scanning the computer system.”

Aside from adding the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) support to the new program and the new AFD scanning technology (which allows support for a number of Macbooks with Intel processors), the software developer also updated many internal components which could implement support for other software repositories with information found on GitHub page of his project.

He went further to explain that, those who are currently using Rescatuax 0.40 Beta 5 and are not interested in any of the UEFI changes implemented in new the build, shouldn’t bother to download the beta six version but he would love feedbacks from users that have tried the new sixth beta build.
