Two New netOS Enterprise Linux 8.0 Powered Device Announced by Black Lab Software

Many different OEMs have hopped aboard the netOS Enterprise Linux Operating System with state-of-the-art hardware and technologies and now looks like another manufacturer seeks to join this bandwagon as Robert J. Dohnert, the CEO of Black Lab Software just announced their new hardware which comes powered by this same OS.

The hardware in question has been dubbed the CloudBook Pro and the CloudBox Pro which definitely looks like they were aimed at the Business and education-minded audience. The two aforementioned devices are currently available for purchase for any interested buyer.

The CEO, Robert J. Dohnert went on to assured the public in a press announcement held earlier that “With these devices we bring security, reliability and unprecedented usability. With the use of encFS, industrial strength firewalls and support for biometric devices, we bring military-grade security to your business data off and on the cloud.”

CloubBook Pro

Taking a look at the CloudBook Pro, this laptop is basically a HP PC with netOS Enterprise 8.0 Linux distribution running on the inside which is the perfect fit for students and can be introduced into universities to be used by both teachers and students.

Robert also went on to say that the “Cloudbook Pro is compatible with Chromebook charging ports and because of its unique high definition capabilities can also power presentation boards, 4K TV’s and monitors. The Cloudbook Pro is an excellent device for enterprises and businesses of all sizes,”

Under the hood of this Laptop, there is an Intel core i3-5005U chipset clocked at 2.0GHz which comes bundled up with 8GB DDR3L SDRAM and a whopping 1TB 5400 RPM Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive (HDD).

The CloudBook Pro has a 17.3-inch touchscreen display with resolutions of about 1600 x 900Pixels and supports different connectivities, some of which included Bluetooth and 802.11 b/n/g Wi-Fi and the device also features a SuperMulti DVD Burner and all this it down to an asking price of $775.00 alongside a 4-year warranty.

Now lets see what the CloudBox Pro has to offer. This device comes in with 8GB of RAM – although it could support up to 16GB RAM –, 128GB internal memory and is powered by an Intel core i7-4560U processor with speeds of up to 1.6GHz.

The CloudBox Pro comes running the netOS Enterprise 8.0.2 Linux operating system along with a wireless keyboard and mouse. Support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/n/g running at 300Mbps is also made available bring this whole device to a price of $599.99 as well as a 4-year warranty.
