The €399 Meizu MX6 Ubuntu Phone Houses A 10-Core Processor

After the seemingly unending leak of images (which were completely far from clear), and a handful of codename references, we finally have more substantial evidence regarding the next Ubuntu Phone. If before now you had guessed it will be the Meizu MX6, you were right.

There was a product info page that was passed to Android Headlines earlier on, and it let us in on more than just the model of the device: we now know the price as well. The phone is rumored to be going up for sale later next month for the cost of nothing less than €399.

The Meizu MX6 is a 5.5-inch smartphone which will house the Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 — the world’s first 10-core (deca-core) processor. The chip will combine a dual-core 2.3 GHz Cortex-A72 with a quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A53 and a quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53. It will probably feature nothing below 3GB RAM and 32GB of secondary storage.

For those iinterested in the camera, it will feature an 8MP selfie camera and a 20.7MP rear camera, with both being able to selfies and recordings of social events.

The Meizu MX6 will also house a fingerprint scanner (just like in the PRO 5) and it will come in a variety of colors (we know for sure that its Android-based counterpart will). We just hope we wouldn’t get hit with the gold color option again.

We are still waitinng to receive more updates on the device and so for now, let us know how your feel with regards to the phone i the coments section down below. Will you purcahse the Meizu MX6 Ubuntu Phone?
