The Raspberry Pi Celebrates Its10 Million Units Sales with A New Starter Kit

We knew the Rasberry Pi had a success wave coming but we can’t deny that we are surprised it is this big, selling 5 million pieces in the last 18 months alone and it clearly didn’t stop there because right now it has sold 10 million units.

We’re talking about the Raspberry Pi, the tiny single-board computer that launched back in 2011. It has helped to raise a new generation of hobbyist hardware hackers, to encourage innovations, and helped lower the entry barrier to the IoT just the same way it has reshaped the personal computing era as it is available to various Ubuntu-based distros.

It was just last year that the Raspberry Pi Foundation CEO Eben Upton announced that the board sold 5 million units — meaning it has sold an additional 5 million units since then!
