Introducing Insomnia 3.0: AN Eye Candy Desktop REST Client for Linux

Have you been on the lookout for a REST client for your Linux desktop? Insomnia is here for – and best of all, it is free!

Insomnia is a cross-platform REST client that was developed by Gregory Schier, who said that the reason he created the app is “to help developers communicate with REST APIs.” He mentioned that “so far, the feedback from Linux users has been very positive because similar applications (not nice ones anyway) aren’t usually available for Linux”, furthering stating that Insomnia already has about 10,000 active users and 9% of them are on Linux.

The aim of Insomnia is to ‘speed up your API testing workflow’, by allowing you to organize, run, and debug HTTP requests via a cleanly designed interface. The app contains advanced features like global environments, cookie management, SSL validation, and code snippet generation.
