Good News Gamers, Rocket League is Now On Linux!

Linux gamers have been waiting for it and now it is finally hereRocket League for Linux launched in beta on the 8th of September. And although the game is expected to be able to run on any modern Linux distro that is able to run Steam does, the developer’s Psyonix say they will only support SteamOS “officially”.

If you don’t already know Rocket League, it is a loud and fun high-torque game that combines Mario Kart with Super Bros by implementing Mario Super Strikers.

It offers both offline and online multiplayer game modes for Windows, MacOS, and Linux, and each update the game receives brings a new game mode along.

September’s update brings a brand-new game mode called Rocket League Rumble; described as “an epic battle royale-style addition that comes stacked with randomized power-ups.”
