if you didn’t know, there’s a new version of Sayonara music player and you can download now.

The new Sayonara 0.9.1 comes with a catalog of new features and improvements, including a faster spectrum analyzer, support for displaying cover art embedded in ID3 metadata, and a new crossfader.

sayonara-1Other changes include a navigable and searchable media browser, tabbed playlists, Ubuntu Sound Menu integration, and a choice of light or dark user interface theme, among other things.

Installing Sayonara on Ubuntu

Install Sayonara music player on Ubuntu 16.04 by adding the official Sayonara PPA to your Software Sources via the Terminal like so:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:lucioc/sayonara
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install sayonara

OR, you can just grab an installer for Ubuntu 14.04 through 16.04 direct from the project’s website.
