You Can Now fetch New Forecasts On GNOME Weather Again

We are sure you have missed getting weather forecasts from through the GNOME Weather App.

A recent update to the GNOME weather libraries just rolled out and it restores weather data fetching to both Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS users.

This problem occurred after a change of URL in a public API having been provided by the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the United States). It left all the apps using libgweather (the MATE desktop weather applet included,) unable to retrieve and display weather data.

However, everything is as cool as it was before with libgweather 3.18.2. Applications like GNOME Weather can once again help you prepare for any situation the weather puts you in.
