Install the Recently Updated Papirus Icon Theme for KDE on Your Kubuntu 16.04
The Papirus GTK icon theme is one of our favorite icon sets, and it hit us as a surprise to know that many people don’t know that it’s available for KDE Plasma desktop too.
You read that right. It doesn’t matter if what you are running is Kubuntu, Netrunner or any other Ubuntu-based distro running Plasma 5, you can install the Papirus icon set for KDE and when you do you will get the same (largely flat) app icons as tailored for and the KDE desktop.
Run the following command to install the KDE version of Papirus icon set on your Ubuntu-based distro in a new Konsole terminal window:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:varlesh-l/papirus-pack
sudo apt update && sudo apt install papirus-pack-kde5
Unlike the Ubuntu Unity desktop you can switch icon themes on Kubuntu by default without the need for tweaks. Just head to System Settings > Appearance > Icons
and select the ‘Papirus
‘ icon theme from the list, and you’re done.
